To grow 8 plants or 10, that is the question!

Across the country, these plants counts vary from state to state. Many believe a 4, 6, or 8 plant count is too conservative and that disregards the joy and pleasure of gardening and limits people from having a fun hobby. Not to mention, you are prohibited from experimenting in the garden. It begs the question, “doesn’t anyone in government know that gardening in tricky and that plant counts are invasive?” Plant counts set a dangerous precedent that government ought tell people how many plants they can grow in the privacy of their home. Many people point out a plant count is proof that lawmakers assume people can’t be trusted to not sell them illegally. It’s hard to debate that, is it not? It does seem the law is based on government’s assuming the worst about people.  This shouldn’t be a reason to limit everyone’s potential to grow them to 4, 6 or 8 plants. Permission has been granted. But why do we need permission?

California is a state with the most liberal home grow plant counts for medical patients with a doctors recommendations. Patients in California can grow as much plants as they need. They are not allowed to sell it. Notice that it is not assumed you will be selling your plants or the flower from them. But if you get caught, you can be sure the judge will throw the book at you, your doctors recommendation will not save you.
